Church School
Children's Church for 2010 will be held concurrently with worship. We will be using an interactive model for our children ages 3-7. We hope that children 7 and over will stay in worship and volunteer for leadership opportunities including acolyte, bell ringer, and usher. We have a nursery for children 3 and under that is staffed by nursery attendant during Church School and Worship.
While using Children's Church, children between the ages of 3-7 will begin the hour in worship. At the conclusion of the Time with the Children, they will be led back to their classroom for a lesson. On Sundays when the Lord's Supper is celebrated or when there is a baptism, the children will be invited to either remain in the sanctuary or return at the appropriate time. From time to time, our childrens' class will meet together in the Fellowship Hall for an intergenerational activity. Some previous examples including making family Christmas ornaments or sharing a lesson on the Easter story. On the last Sunday of each first month in a quarter, the adult classes suspend lessons to meet for the Adult Forum.
The Adult classes will continue to meet at the 10:00 hour. There will be a nursery attendant for small children staffing the nursery. We will not have youth programs available for middle school and youth aged children during the 10:00 hour. Please note that during the summer our worship time changes to 10:00 and adult education offerings are suspended. If you would like to attend an adult class but require childcare, call the church office to see what arrangements can be worked out.

YOU'VE BEEN SPLASHED!
Here at PPC we have begun a new emphasis on spiritual formation for our youngest children and their family. The three stages of the Splash material focus on the first 3 years of a child's life. Each year from birth to three, the family of the child will recieve a monthly newsletter and audio CD. The newsletter highlights changes their child will be going through as well as questions they may have about their child's development. The newsletter also highlights opportunities the parents will have to positively impact thier child's faith development. The CD contains music for bedtime in the first year and songs for family and child to share in the second and third years. We hope the response will be positive. We want everyone to feel welcome and a part of Christ's church here at PPC!
