We're about to do a NEW thing!

Living LargeFor those interested in learning more about Workshop Rotation Model, (WoRM) you may consider clicking on the link provided in this sentence.  The site will give you examples of lessons and opportunities to learn more about why the model is so effective in churches, large and small.  We think that Pittsboro Presbyterian Church in uniquely suited to glean from what it has to offer our children as we seek to grow them into mature Christians. Though a larger congregation, the idea would be similar for our church as to what Kirk of Kildaire in Cary is doing.  Their Faith Quest curriculum targets more age groups than we would as we begin but the concept remains the same - allow children a participatory experience in the education of the Bible.  Our children will cook, work with wood, assemble crafts, watch movies, and learn music.  Each of these will be done for one Bible story so that they learn the story through several different experiences and from different perspectives.

Our WoRM will be called "Living Large."  Look for it in the bulletin and on our website.  If you need more information or would like to volunteer you can call Jerome Huneycutt, 542-3813, to offer your ideas and efforts.  Living Large was successful in the early Spring of 2009 when it began but over time some momentum was lost.  The Christian Education Committee would like to consider how we might continue with Living Large or another Christian education program for our youth and children in the near furture.  In order to do this, we will need input from you in the congregation and those wishing to visit with us.
