About Us
NURSERY
We provide a nursery room staffed by Pittsboro Presbyterian during Church School and Worship on Sunday mornings. Currently, our staff person is Red Cross certified. Parents, or families, wishing to use the nursery should plan to arrive a few minutes early in order to meet the nursery attendant and explain any special needs that their child may have. Children will be supervised during the time they are in the nursery until a parent/guardian comes to pick them up. Hope to see your little ones join us!
WORSHIP
Our 11:00am service (10:00AM from first Sunday of June through the last Sunday of August) is a traditional worship service in the Reformed tradition. As you enter the sanctuary greeters will welcome you and give a printed bulletin to you. Before worship begins people will greet one another. Worship begins with a musical prelude and the ringing of the bell. There is usually a choir which provides special music. A lay liturgist will often lead portions of the service. If you have a prayer concern but do not wish to share it out loud during the Pastoral Prayer we encourage you to use a prayer card which is kept in the Friendship Register at the end of the pew.
PARKING
Church parking is available in four locations: 1) Special needs parking in the paved parking lot on the west end of the building. 2) The gravel parking lot between the church and the traffic circle. 3) On street parking in front of the church. 4) Across the street from the church in the Chatham County, Dunlap Building parking lot.
HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE
Our facility is completely handicap accessible. With the exception of the front steps leading into the sanctuary all areas are easy to use. Anyone with special needs should enter the church building from the west end at the paved parking lot. There is a door to the sanctuary off of the main hallway.
CEMETERY AND COLUMBARIUM
Our church cemetery is available to church members and their immediate family. Recently, a gift was given by Wayne Chester to beautify the area adjacent to the Columbarium wall. The Serenity Garden is available for meditation, prayer, or to visit loved ones.
