Pastor Troy will be on vacation following worship today for the whole week. He will be back for worship next Sunday. If you need pastoral assistance, call the church office (542-4702) and Linda will help you with your request. Otherwise, you may call the pastor's cell phone at (919) 444-1248.

Vacation Bible School will be August 10-14 from 6:30-8:30pm for ages 3-12. Registration forms are out on the hallway table. Or, go online to www.vacationbibleschool.com/ppc to register your child or volunteer. For more information, call Kim Morris (919) 663-0917.

Updated Church Directory sheets are located on the tables in the back hall. They are dated July, 15, 2009.
On Tuesday, Aug.4, and Aug. 18, PPC will be hosting a book study on Dietrich Bonhoeffer's Life Together. Books can be bought at most bookstores or online at www.amazon.com. Cost per book is about $10. We will meet and discuss from 6:30-8pm. Read introduction through Chapter 3 for our next meeting. Meetings will be held at the church.

Just a reminder that the need for food is great. No donation is too small. Help us to fill the cart located outside the kitchen.

St. Bart's Episcopal Church on Salisbury Street, Pittsboro, invites anyone who is interested at PPC to attend their contemplative prayer service on the first Sunday of each month at 5:15 pm. It's a small group but growing... a nice mix of quiet and Taize, sometimes with a piano player, sometimes recorded music. Angel Food Ministries is COMING! Linda Kolpack-Martindale has agreed to be our Team Leader for this ministry. We will be partnering with Mt. Sinai AME Church and Gracepoint here in Pittsboro. If you want to learn more about the ministry, just visit www.angelfoodministries.org and check it out.

Pittsboro Presbyterian Church is still collecting worn women's shoes. The proceeds benefit Relay for Life. The collection box is under the table outside the rest-rooms. If you have any questions, please speak to Sherry Salyer.
