The Joint Thanksgiving Service with Mt. Sinai AME Church will be Sunday, November 22 at 11:00 with us worshipping in their sanctuary and staying for lunch afterwards. Church school at 10:00am will continue that morning as usual and children under three who need nursery care can stay with Linda in our church nursery during the joint worship service. Extra attendants will be available to walk children to Mt. Sinai Church before lunch if the parents wish to stay for the meal. Otherwise, just let Linda know that you'll be coming back for your child after worship and your child will remain at PPC until pickup.

Sunday, November 29, we will begin the season of Advent with the Greening of the Church. On this Sunday, children will make decorations during Living Large at 10 am to place on the Advent tree in addition to the Chrismon ornaments.

A note from Troy:
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Thank you for your gift of appreciation and the opportunity you've given me to serve as your pastor. I do not take the demands of the calling lightly and know with great certainty of heart that our relationship is maintained through God's care for each one of us. Your care for my family over these years has been deep, meaningful, and more than I feel I've offered in return. You are a blessing to me and to God's service here in Pittsboro. I give thanks for each one of you!
Pastor Troy

Would you like to make a family activity of putting the Advent Tree in the church sanctuary this year? If you would like to purchase, set up, and string lights on the tree this year between Thanksgiving Day and Sunday, November 29, please let Troy know before you leave today. The church has the tree stand and lights for you to use - the tree would be your gift to the congregation!
