Because of Mother's Day and low attendance in past years, the Congregational Care committee, in concurrence with the Session, has chosen not to hold a Second Sunday lunch in May.  We hope you will use this time to celebrate the gift of mothers.

This event is being offered to clergy and church professionals for mutual encouragement and family time after the Lenten season. Massanetta Springs Bible Conference
August 1 -August 6, 2010 "God of All Ages"

The 87th Annual Bible Conference is a family event with continuing
education programming for the whole family. In addition to Bible Study and
sermons each morning and evening, there are forums and workshops that delve
deeper into the subjects. The Church Music Conference will be running
concurrently with the Bible Conference.

There will be programs for children and youth including Bible studies, choirs, handbells, arts and crafts,
canoeing, swimming, hiking, archery, and worship opportunities.

This conference will be a great family vacation and continuing education experience!

Bible Conference Preachers, Teachers and Speakers

The Rev. Dr. Mark Achtemeier, teacher of theology and ethics at Dubuque Theological Seminary, Dubuque, IA, will
lead the Bible Study, a thematic study, "The Generosity of God."

Preachers:

The Rev. Dr. Joanna M. Adams, recently retired pastor of Morningside Presbyterian Church, Atlanta, GA will be the
Speakman Chair of Preaching speaker.

The Rev. Michael L. Lindvall, pastor of The Brick Presbyterian Church, New York, NY and a writer.

The Rev. Dr. J. Herbert Nelson II, pastor of Liberation Community Presbyterian church (LLC) in Memphis, TN

The Rev. Dr. Linda McKinnish Bridges, Associate Director for Undergraduate Admissions and professor of Ministry

The Rev. Bryan Field McFarland, Hunger Action Advocate for Salem Presbytery, Clemmons, NC and gifted song
writer and guitarist.

The Rev. Dr. David A. Davis, senior pastor of the Nassau Presbyterian Church in Princeton, NJ.
